How do the iPad headshot stations work?

You mount one or more iPads on stands, open your custom microsite in the browser, and the booth is live! Guests follow on-screen prompts and snap selfies — no special app required.

Are there any restrictions on the types of iPads or tablets that can be used?

No, not at all! Any recent iPad or Android tablet with a front camera works great.

How much staffing does the iPad option require?

None! This isn't a traditional photography booth; guests use the self-serve iPad stand on their own. We'll also provide full virtual support for the duration of your event.

Do we need a ring light or any special lighting?

No ring light needed. Normal exhibit-hall lighting is fine; the AI balances light and color automatically.

How many iPads can we hook up—does this scale to three, five, ten?

Unlimited! One custom microsite works on any number of tablets. Open the link on as many devices as you like.

How does the QR code option work?

We give you one universal QR code. Display it on monitors or signs around the hall. Guests scan, the same microsite opens on their phones, they take or upload selfies, and headshots arrive by e-mail. Unlimited scans—nothing to install!

Can we do both an iPad kiosk and a QR code, or is it one or the other?

You can run both at once! The iPad gives walk-up visibility, while QR codes on signage let guests join from anywhere.

Do guests need to download an app to get their headshots?

No downloads. The confirmation e-mail contains a secure link that opens right in the browser.

Do guests just type their e-mail and hit Take Photo?

Exactly! They enter their e-mail, snap three to four selfies, and they're done in about thirty seconds.

Is one selfie enough, or do you need a few angles?

We prompt for three to four selfies; that's required for best likeness—one selfie does not work.

Do guests pick backgrounds and outfits and pick more than one?

You can either choose a set of looks ahead of time, or let guests choose as many backgrounds and outfit styles as they like — even all of them.

Do you have ways to slow down the crowd? We want this to feel like an activation, not a rush-through booth.

Yes! Engagement Mode lets guests pick backgrounds and outfits on the tablet. Add a live social wall that shows new headshots in real time so people stick around, cheer, and snap behind-the-scenes pics.

Can we cap usage, first-come first-served for, say, 700 headshots?

Absolutely! We can set a redemption limit for you, and have the booth close once that number is reached.

What does Dreamwave do with the selfies that the guests upload?

We don't train our AI systems on your data—ever. Your photos never leave the US, are not sold, and can be deleted at any time. We use the same best-in-class security infrastructure as top tech companies and never store credit-card info.

How many people can you handle?

Our cloud pipeline scales automatically. We've supported events with more than 10,000 attendees without a hiccup.

How long does it take to receive the headshots?

Right now about one hour. A free upgrade landing in a few months will make delivery almost instant—exciting!

How many finished photos does each person get?

Each guest can generate up to 120 photos across different outfits, backgrounds, and poses. We can raise or lower that number to fit your event.

How many photos does each guest get to keep?

All of them! Every image in the guest's gallery is theirs to download and use however they like.

Does the AI work with all skin tones?
